HOW WE CAN HELP?
Some of our clients have limited resources, both financially and relationally. We also know that there are people in the community who are looking for fulfilling volunteer opportunities.
We thought this was a great idea! We launched the Dignitarian program because we believe that everyone deserves to be treated with the same respect regardless of their financial means or rank in society. We believe that we all have something to learn from each other regardless of our circumstances.
We pair a client up with a Dignitarian based on commonality of interests and goals. For instance, if a client is interested in their Genealogy then we would ask the Dignitarian assist them in digitally recording their personal and family history. This provides the client with companionship and personal, intellectual and social stimulation.
